Membership Types and Fees

Membership Plans

a. Monthly Membership
Enjoy unlimited access on a month-to-month basis with a 3 day cancellation period in accordance with your bill date.

b. Annual Membership
Commit to a full year and save!

  • Payment: Direct debit only.

c. Day Pass
Need flexibility? Get access for a single day.

  • Payment: One off card payment

 

All memberships are paid via direct debit only—no other payment methods are accepted.

  • Billing and Auto-Renewal: Upon joining, the joining fee and first month's membership fees are collected via direct debit or available to sign up or pay the first month in club via card. The joining fee covers administrative costs. If downgrading a membership, an admin fee may apply. Recurring monthly membership fees are collected one month after joining and continue monthly thereafter via direct debit. Non-refundable monthly fees are applicable, and failure to make payments may result in membership suspension or termination and maybe pursued by the billing team to recover any monies owed by you with a fine payable at the cost of £10 per failed transaction.

  • Cancellation Policy: Monthly memberships can be terminated with one month's notice in accordance to your billing date and clearance of any outstanding balance. Paid-in-full memberships are non-refundable unless accompanied by a doctor's note. Once you have joined there is a minimum join period of two months as 30 days notice must be given to cancel. If you join in club or use the gym once you have joined the cooling off period is no longer applicable. There is a cooling off period of 7 days if you have joined online and have not entered the premises. Failure to make outstanding payments will incur £15 administration charge from the billing team who will seek to recover the amounts due. 

  • Freezing Membership: We can freeze your membership provided 10 working days notice is given. There is a £3 monthly charge for freezing the weekender and bronze memberships. All other memberships are free of charge to freeze up to a maximum of 6 months.

Access and Hours of Operation

  • 24-Hour Access: The gym is open to members 24 hours a day 365 days a year. This is not applicable to the weekend (bronze) membership. 

  • Access: Access is strictly personal, and misuse may result in additional charges or membership cancellation. Members are responsible for any misuse of their access, including unauthorized entry. Once you join an email link will be sent to you to take a selfie. This then allows you access through our turnstiles.


 

Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk

  • Release of Liability: 

By becoming a member of the gym, you agree to release the gym from any liability for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur while using the gym’s equipment, facilities, or participating in gym-related activities. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries resulting from negligence on the part of the gym or its staff. You agree to this in accordance to the terms and conditions and health agreement waiver upon joining

  • Assumption of risk: Members acknowledge that engaging in physical exercise and using gym facilities involves inherent risks. By using the gym, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities, including the potential for injury or harm. The gym is not responsible for any injuries, regardless of whether they occur from improper equipment use, accidents, or other hazards.

 

Health and Safety

  • Health Certifications: Upon joining you agree you are physically fit to use the equipment. The gym is not liable for health issues that arise during workouts.

  • Sanitation and Cleanliness: Members are required to maintain proper hygiene while using the gym. This includes wiping down equipment after use with the provided cleaning materials to ensure cleanliness for others. Personal items such as towels, water bottles, and gym bags should not be left on gym floors or equipment. Members are expected to dispose of trash in designated areas and use locker rooms and facilities responsibly. The gym reserves the right to enforce these rules to maintain a clean and safe environment for all members.

 

Code of Conduct

  • To maintain a positive and respectful environment, members are expected to refrain from loud, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior. Misuse of gym equipment, such as improper use or failure to return equipment to its designated place, is prohibited. Any conduct that interferes with the safety or enjoyment of others may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.

  • Dress code: Members are required to wear appropriate gym attire at all times, including proper footwear. Open-toed shoes, sandals, and non-athletic shoes may be restricted for safety reasons. The gym reserves the right to enforce these dress code standards to ensure the comfort and safety of all members.

Terms and Conditions for Under 16 Access

By applying for or using a membership for any individual under the age of 16 at Fitness Corner, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Parental/Guardian Consent

  • Membership for individuals under the age of 16 requires written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

  • A parent or guardian must be present during the first visit and may be required to accompany the minor during subsequent visits, as determined by the gym's policies.

2. Age Restrictions

  • Membership is available to individuals aged 14 and 15, subject to the following conditions.

  • Individuals under the age of 14 are not permitted access to the gym.

  • Access to certain equipment or areas may be restricted based on the age of the member for safety reasons.

3. Supervision

  • Members under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or designated supervisor during their workouts.

  • Unsupervised access to the gym is not permitted outside of designated staffed hours.

  • Gym staff reserve the right to request the supervision of a personal trainer or gym representative if deemed necessary for the safety of the minor.

4. Membership Terms

  • Special youth memberships or family membership plans may apply to under 16 members. These memberships may have restrictions or different pricing.

  • The membership of any individual under 16 must be linked to the account of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the minor's adherence to all gym policies.

5. Gym Etiquette and Safety

  • All under 16 members must adhere to strict rules regarding equipment use, behaviour, and gym etiquette.

  • Attendance at a safety orientation is mandatory before the first session. Additional training sessions may be required at the discretion of the gym.

  • Any misuse of equipment or inappropriate behaviour may result in suspension or termination of the membership.

6. Liability Waiver

  • A liability waiver must be signed by the parent or guardian at the time of membership registration. This waiver releases Fitness Corner from any claims arising from injuries or accidents that may occur on the premises.

  • The parent or guardian accepts full responsibility for the safety and actions of the minor while using the gym facilities.

7. Code of Conduct

  • Members under 16 are expected to follow the gym's Code of Conduct, including wearing appropriate attire, keeping noise levels to a minimum, and respecting other gym members.

  • The gym reserves the right to revoke membership if the Code of Conduct is not adhered to.

8. Access Hours

  • Access to the gym for individuals under 16 is limited to staffed hours only.

  • 24-hour access is not permitted unless under direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or approved supervisor.

9. Policy Changes

  • Fitness Corner reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. All changes will be communicated to the parent or guardian on record.

By enrolling a minor in Fitness Corner, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Studio Class Booking Guidelines

  1. Advance Booking Required
    All studio classes require advance booking to secure your spot. No walk-ins are allowed due to limited class sizes.

  2. Booking Process
    Book your class through our online portal. Select your preferred class and time.

  3. Cancellation Policy
    Cancellations must be made at least one hour before the scheduled class. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a penalty or loss of a class credit.

  4. Waiting List If a class is full, you can join the waiting list. You will be notified if a spot becomes available. If you are added to a class from the waitlist, standard cancellation policies apply.

  5. Arrive on Time
    Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the class begins. Late arrivals may not be allowed into the studio once the class has started.

  6. Class Attire and Equipment
    Wear appropriate workout attire and bring any required equipment (yoga mat, towel, etc.) as specified for each class.

  7. Class Changes
    Instructors and class schedules may change. Any updates will be communicated via email or the booking platform.

  8. Health and Safety
    Please inform the instructor of any health concerns before the class begins. Follow all safety guidelines and respect the instructor’s directions.

 

Facility Usage Rules

Equipment Usage: Members are expected to use gym equipment properly and in accordance with posted instructions. Members are required to return equipment to its designated area after use and avoid any actions that may damage the equipment or disrupt other members.

  • Locker Room and Personal Belongings  The gym provides lockers for temporary storage of personal belongings while members are on the premises. However, the gym is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items left in lockers or elsewhere on the property. Members are encouraged to use personal locks and avoid bringing valuable items to the gym. Padlocks will be removed unless a locker is rented monthly for £10 extra per month 

  • Guests Certain membership plans may allow guest privileges. Guests must adhere to all gym rules and policies, and the hosting member is responsible for their guest’s conduct. Guest usage may be subject to additional fees and time restrictions. The gym reserves the right to limit the frequency of guest visits and to revoke guest privileges at any time.

24-Hour Access Gym Rules

  1. Member-Only Access
    Only current members with active plans may enter the gym during 24-hour access periods. No guests allowed.

  2. Entry and Exit
    Use your personal access facial recognition for entry. Do not allow others to enter using your access. Ensure doors are securely closed when entering or exiting.

  3. Security and Cameras
    The gym is monitored by security cameras 24/7. Tampering with security equipment is strictly prohibited.

  4. Emergencies
    In case of an emergency, use the red emergency phone located in reception or call 999. Familiarize yourself with the gym's emergency exits and procedures.

  5. No Staff on Duty
    Be aware that there may not be staff on-site during off-peak hours. Use equipment safely and at your own risk.

  6. Respect the Space
    Clean up after yourself—re-rack weights, wipe down machines after use, and dispose of any trash.

  7. Noise Control
    Be considerate of others using the space. No dropping weights and loud disruptions, especially during late hours.

  8. Personal Safety
    Work out responsibly. We recommend not exercising alone during late hours for your own safety. Use a spotter when needed.

  9. Equipment Use
    Follow gym guidelines for equipment use. Report any damaged or faulty equipment to staff during business hours.

  10. Violation of Rules
    Any violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of 24-hour access privileges.

 

Termination and Suspension of Membership

  • The gym reserves the right to terminate or suspend memberships at its discretion if members violate the terms and conditions, engage in inappropriate behavior, or fail to make timely payments. Memberships may also be terminated for any conduct that poses a risk to the safety or well-being of other members or staff. In the event of termination, no refunds will be provided for unused portions of the membership.

  • Suspension of Services: The gym may temporarily suspend services or restrict access to certain facilities for reasons such as maintenance, repairs, emergencies, or public health concerns (e.g., pandemics). During these periods, the gym will make reasonable efforts to notify members in advance, but suspensions may occur without notice when necessary. Membership fees will not typically be refunded or prorated during temporary suspensions.

Personal Trainers – Self-Employed

  1. Independent Contractors
    All personal trainers in our facility operate as independent contractors. They are self-employed and manage their own client bookings, schedules, and rates.

  2. Booking a Trainer
    To book a session, please contact the personal trainer directly. Trainers set their own availability and pricing, which may vary.

  3. Payment
    Payments for personal training sessions are arranged directly between the client and the trainer. The gym does not handle or process payments for personal training services.

  4. Liability and Insurance
    All self-employed trainers are required to carry their own insurance and certifications. They are responsible for ensuring they meet professional standards and legal requirements.

  5. Facility Use
    Trainers and clients must adhere to the gym’s rules and guidelines while using the facility for personal training sessions. Any damage to equipment or misuse of space will result in penalties.

  6. Trainer Qualifications
    We ensure that all personal trainers operating within our facility hold relevant qualifications and certifications, but the gym is not responsible for the services provided by individual trainers.

  7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
    Cancellation policies vary by trainer. Please check with your trainer regarding their specific terms for cancellations or rescheduling.

 

Privacy and Data Protection

  • The gym collects and stores personal information for membership management purposes, including payment details, contact information, and usage history. This data may be used to process payments, communicate with members, and improve services. The gym may also use your information for marketing purposes or share it with third parties, such as payment processors or service providers, in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Members have the right to request details on how their data is being used and may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

 

  • Security Cameras For the safety and security of members and staff, the gym uses surveillance cameras throughout the facility. Video footage is recorded and may be monitored to ensure the security of the premises and compliance with gym policies. Footage is stored securely and may be used for investigations related to theft, accidents, or violations of gym rules. Video recordings are not shared with unauthorized third parties, except as required by law or in response to legal requests.

 

Changes to Terms

  • Modifications: The gym reserves the right to modify its terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes through appropriate channels, such as email, posted notices within the facility, or updates on the gym’s website. It is the member’s responsibility to stay informed of these updates. Continued use of the gym following any modifications will be considered acceptance of the revised terms.

 

Dispute Resolution

  • Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to your membership or use of the gym’s facilities will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.

  • Arbitration Clause: In the event of a dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or related to your membership, you agree to resolve the matter through binding arbitration, rather than in court. This includes any claims related to personal injury, services rendered, or payment disputes.
